After apologizing for the massive controversy surrounding his hate speeches, Kanye West has been inching toward a comeback. The Los Angeles crowd appeared to welcome the rapper and record producer, who held his first concert at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, California, in five years. However, the same cannot be said for the rest of the world.

West, who is now known as Ye, has continued to face major backlash as he plans more concerts across the world. Most recently, the mayor of San Antonio called for the cancellation of Ye's upcoming performance in the city.

Ye recently announced his San Antonio show, which is scheduled for July 4, 2026 and tickets for the event are also now available on Ticketmaster and the rapper's website. However, soon after the announcement, San Antonio Mayor Gina Ortiz Jones urged the concert to be canceled.

“Military City USA should not host someone with a record of hate speech and antisemitic comments in a city-funded facility like our Alamodome—not ever, and certainly not on July 4th, our Nation’s 250th birthday,” she wrote on X.

While the mayor's comments have made headlines, tickets for the show remain available on Ticketmaster and on Ye's official website. This comes after Ye issued a lengthy public apology in January 2026. However, the apology does not appear to have changed public sentiment toward him.

Several of his concerts have since been cancelled for various reasons. Previously, Ye's show in Poland was cancelled due to formal and legal issues. However, the Culture Minister of the country seemingly made their comment clear about the cancellation, as reported by Deadline.
