In between the musical hiatus and its resurgence

Kanye West’s Chart-Topping Journey: Musical Milestones of 2023

This year has been fulfilling in the musical landscape in more than one way. But
the musical resurgence of Kanye West
[https://www.netflixjunkie.com/tag/kanye-west] is among the biggest takeaways
that 2023 could offer. Amidst the prolonged hiatus and the clamoring noise of
his upcoming drop, Kanye West managed to maintain his crowd-pleasing reputation
with his unfaltering stepping stones.

Looking back at the glittery year of musical upheaval, here are the top 5
moments of Ye’s attesting to why he is here to stay.

KANYE WEST RULES THE SPOTIFY STREAM

The colossal following of West is well-founded, given that his musical
brilliance is a widely recognized fact across the globe. And this time, it
appears that Ye has outdone himself, having surpassed the mark with 64 million
Spotify Monthly Listeners before the year’s end. As per the reports, his
landmark achievement now lies above the peak climb of his studio album, ‘Donda’,
which witnessed 57.5 million streamers in September 2021.

Apart from this, his Spotify game-changer also hailed another record this year.

KANYE WEST’S ‘GRADUATION’ GRADUATES WITH A TOP SCORE IN 2023

Kanye West’s inactivity in the musical arena has no shortcomings in his bagging
of accolades. And his intervening pushback whispers do not tone down the
fanaticism around his talent. As a result, his 2007 ‘Graduation’ album became
another turning point for his long-living legacy. It became the first of his
albums to cross the 5 million streams milepost.

Reigning the Spotify playlist with his profound influence, his album’s record
was still not the endgame because he etched his name on yet another one.

KANYE WEST HAS A NEW MOST-STREAMED SONG ON SPOTIFY

Since West is breaking records like stepping stones, his recent testimony to it
came with overstepping two of his own streaks. Firstly, with the highlight of
the Spotify Monthly Listeners and secondly, with his ‘Ni**as in Paris’
outperforming his ‘Stronger’ track with over 1.3 billion streams. Resultantly,
it is now the most-streamed song from West’s creation on Spotify.

West’s hiatus in the record industry was not a short one. However, the span is
nothing in front of his era-defining prowess, which helped him bag a Billboard
title for 2023.

KANYE WEST MAKES IT BIG IN THE BILLBOARD AWARDS

The rapper from Atlanta who is presently keeping the world on their toes with
the promise of ‘Vultures’ drop also achieved the title of Billboard’s Top Gospel
Artist for 2023.

This year, marking his hat-trick victory of claiming the top honor. Living up to
his standards, he also ensured that his upcoming launch would cater to even more
respectable mentions.

From the looks of it, the artist might be already securing some now.

VULTURES MAKE HISTORY ON SPOTIFY

About a month back, the first track to take a release from the much-anticipated
album was its namesake, ‘Vultures’. Even though the world was unaware of its
significance, it became a landmark event for Ye’s success tread. After it was
unleashed on Spotify, it pulled over 2 million streams, becoming the sixth track
from his creation to attract the million figure streams within a day.

The other tracks are ‘Flashing Lights’, ‘Heartless’, ‘I Wonder’, ‘Father Stretch
My Hands Part 1’ and ‘Runaway’. As the year concludes with West’s overall
achievements shining so brightly, there is a natural curiosity about what the
upcoming year holds. Especially with the tenterhooks cueing at the ‘Vultures’
album’s drop on January 12th.
