Kanye West Reunites With Kid Cudi on Stage, Shares a Hug With Longtime Friend

Kanye West, now known as Ye, faced several challenges as he decided to make a comeback in the music world. The rapper and record producer faced massive backlash over his previous offensive comments and even international travel restrictions as he kicked off a world tour for his return and released his new album, 'Bully.' Now, after wrapping up his European tour, Ye returned to Illinois for a two-night spectacle.
And for the final performance of the tour, the rapper had multiple surprises in store for his fans. One of the biggest was his reunion with Kid Cudi.
Kanye West surprises fans with Kid Cudi reunion
A huge crowd gathered at Soldier Field in Chicago for Kanye West’s performance. Fans went wild when Kid Cudi joined Ye onstage during Night 2. It was their first performance together since they appeared together at Coachella in 2019.
The two performed 'Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1' at the event. Many might remember that the pair have had an on-again, off-again friendship for several years. In 2022, West publicly expressed their frustration over Cudi’s friendship with Pete Davidson.

He even tweeted that Cudi would not appear on Donda because he was friends “with you know who,” seemingly referring to Davidson. Meanwhile, Cudi responded that he did not want to be part of the album. However, in 2023, the two were seen hugging, hinting that they had put their differences aside. And now, fans were treated to the heartwarming surprise of seeing them perform together again.
However, this was not the only surprise at the event.
Kanye West and Big Sean squash beef with reunion
Big Sean made a surprise appearance at Kanye West’s homecoming concert at Soldier Field in Chicago on September 4, 2026. The rapper joined Ye onstage to perform their collaborations 'Clique' and 'Mercy', sending the fans into a frenzy. Sean and West previously got on bad terms in 2021 after West criticized Sean’s time with his label G.O.O.D. Music and called signing him the “worst thing.”

Following that, Sean claimed West owed him $6 million in a since-deleted X post. But in 2026, the two appeared to put their past differences aside. While Sean welcomed Ye with, “I love you, bro,” the latter responded, “Love you, fam.” All in all, it was a big night for Ye and his fans.
