The month of April has been eventful for music lovers, as they got to see some major pop stars taking to the stage and singing some foot-tapping anthems in front of droves of people. Some of the biggest names who toured the road during the month were Lady Gaga, Raye, and Shakira, all of whom are bona fide crowd pullers. But somehow they got trumped by a returning star who made a huge comeback this year with his April shows.
Kanye West (now Ye) has been declared the most profitable touring hip-hop artist for the month of April.

Kanye West has made waves with his comeback tour - something his fans were expecting for quite some time. He made $32.6 million from just two performances at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood. Now, Billboard Boxscore has announced him to be the highest-grossing touring act of April 2026.
These were the biggest hip-hop events of 2026 thus far and the highest-grossing performances in West's career. Notably, he sold 149k tickets from these two shows, which is a testament to the bankability of the pop icon even after a string of controversies and time away from the limelight.
His second show on April 3 alone raked in a massive $18 million, which has now become one of the highest-grossing live shows of all time. The first show on April 1 generated an impressive $15 million, accounting for the $33 million total. The figures were first reported by Bloomberg on April 5.
However, closely following West in the list is rapper Cardi B, who was also announced as the highest-grossing hip-hop touring act of April, alongside Yeezy.
Cardi B also tops the chart
Billboard Boxscore also revealed Cardi B to be the other most successful touring hip-hop artist of April 2026, with a total of $21.4 million from 10 shows. She has sold a total of 127k tickets throughout these shows, which puts her in the league of the big arena draws like Kanye West, Justin Bieber, and Taylor Swift.

What made her tour successful was that every city produced full houses and continuous internet attention. Throughout the tour's duration, clips from performances, clothing, audience responses, and Cardi B's erratic stage demeanor kept it trending. In the case of Kanye West, the buzz around his latest album, ‘Bully,’ helped with the huge show-up. Although West is still haunted by his past actions, this achievement indicates that he is still a big name in pop culture.
