Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, has been pitted against many artists in his career. While haters were busy scratching the surface of the supposed slices of beef from decades ago, Ye's fans elevated the 'Donda' rapper to a whole other pedestal. Apparently, the 46-year-old is now being compared to the greatest boy band of the 60s, The Beatles. And it is more than just words; there are solid arguments backing up the claim. 

An X user, @Vader2412, was the brain behind picking up this new discourse on the platform. The user recently posted a thread to prove "Why Kanye West is better than the Beatles." It listed four reasons, ranging from versatility and longevity to better albums, all of which hailed Ye as the superior artist. The user discussed the Grammy-winning rapper’s body of work and how long it took him to advance his craft, which has become one of its kind today. 

This is not the first time this subject has been touched upon. The 'Graduation' creator has been compared to The Beatles in the past as well. However, Ye, who makes the most bizarrely polarizing statements about his peers at times, has always made an exception for The Beatles. In 2008, he even admitted to MTV that “it is impossible to make an album better than The Beatles”.

The internet, however, is split in opinion over the comparison between Ye and The Beatles.

Both The Beatles and Ye entered the industry with a musical revolution. They redefined what popular music would be like for the decades to come. But despite Ye holding a different place in the hearts of the new generation, for some fans, the influence coupled with the nostalgic effect of the boy band is too strong to compare them with Ye. 

Meanwhile, many expressed that they would rather listen to Ye, but they were still not a fan of the arguments that were made by @Vader241.

Then there were fans who refused to choose between the iconic artists.

Deep down, fans still hold out hope for the rapper to team up with the members of The Beatles, just like fans had witnessed with the collaboration with Paul McCartney. As for whether Ye is better than The Beatles, it is still highly subjective. However, it is undeniable that both have reshaped the musical world, inspiring millions along the way.
