J. Cole to Diss Ye in a Comeback? Joe Budden Drops the Ultimate Redemption Move for the Rapper

The hip-hop clash of 2024 is spiraling out of control. Every day, it seems like a new player is entering the ring, some wanting to settle old scores and others just looking for their fifteen minutes of fame. While the juicy beef was in full swing, J. Cole unexpectedly bowed out with an apology, which was something never seen in a rap feud. This not only put a damper on the heated battle but also hurt the rapper's credibility.

There is, nevertheless, a way for J. Cole to reclaim his reputation as someone tough enough to stick it out in the beef. And according to Joe Budden, leveraging Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, as a pawn in this is just what the 39-year-old needs.

Following Kendrick Lamar's shots at J. Cole and Drake last month, Cole fired back with a track titled '7 Minute Drill' on a surprise mixtape titled 'Might Delete Later'. And true to its name, the ‘She Knows’ artist eventually apologized for the diss track to Lamar and pulled it from streaming platforms. Joe Budden believes that Cole can repair the reputation damage in the beef by going after Ye. "I think he would kill Kanye, and I think that's the reprieve that he needs”, the 43-year-old shared on The Joe Budden Podcast

He spilled on the latest episode that he is crossing his fingers for the ‘Work Out’ rapper to clap back at Ye for trolling him on his ‘Like That (Remix)’ last weekend. Even though he subtly hinted that Cole is not one for beef, Budden suggested that if the rapper ever felt like switching lanes, "now is the time". The TV personality also called out Ye for sticking his nose where it did not belong. And he is not the only one feeling this way about Ye barging into the beef and turning it into a full-blown rap civil war.

Even Charlamagne tha God, who has never been shy about criticizing Ye, had similar thoughts about Ye inserting himself into the beef.

Charlamagne tha God opened up about Ye's ongoing feud with Drake on the latest episode of The Breakfast Club. During their discussion, he revealed that the 'Graduation' rapper has been holding onto a grudge against Drake for way longer than most fans realize. "Kanye West is the leader of the legion of lame," Charlamagne said. "What a hating a** human”.

He called out Ye for flipping the remix of 'Like That' into a diss track aimed at taking down Drake, as spilled by Ye in a recent chat with Justin Laboy. Even Ye himself does not seem to have a solid reason for getting involved in the feud other than backing Kendrick Lamar and having past issues with Drake and J. Cole. But now that he is in it, this hip-hop showdown could spiral even further if Cole actually takes Joe Budden’s advice to heart.
