Kanye West (now Ye) seems to be having trouble finding a stage for his comeback performances in Europe. Due to his previous antisemitic comments, Kanye West's European tour has encountered many difficulties, including the cancellation of several of his performances. UK even banned him from setting foot in the country, which is after the fact that West publicly apologized for his actions and comments. But the repercussions of his past doings are catching up to him now, and the latest hit comes from Italy.

Italy has decided to cancel Kanye West and Travis Scott's performances over security concerns.

Authorities announced on Saturday that Italy has banned two performances by American rappers Kanye West and Travis Scott that were scheduled to take place in the northern city of Reggio Emilia in July. Salvatore Angieri, the local prefect, ordered the cancellation due to worries about security and public order, including the possibility of protests.

According to Angieri, the decision was made in response to petitions from the Modena and Reggio Emilia Jewish communities and consumer group CODACONS, who had expressed specific concerns regarding West. The proximity of the two performances and the anticipated large number of attendees within a day were the reasons given by the authorities for the ban. They also cited the obvious concern of protests and the cancellation of future West concerts across Europe.

Following years of antisemitic outbursts, including statements endorsing Adolf Hitler and the release of content using Nazi imagery, West has experienced a wave of cancellations throughout Europe this summer. On the other hand, since a crowd crush at the Astroworld festival in Houston in 2021 that resulted in 10 fatalities and left hundreds more injured, Scott has been under investigation for concert safety.

Almost all of Europe has banned Kanye West

Kanye West is subject to a number of bans in Europe this year, the most recent of which is the Italian cancellations. Britain denied him entry in April, claiming that it was not in the national interest for him to be there. A performance in Marseille that month was postponed due to rumors that French authorities attempted to prevent it. Additionally, concerts in Switzerland and Poland were canceled as well.

However, he is still performing in nations that let him in, and this Saturday, he will be in Istanbul. Additionally, he is scheduled to perform in the Netherlands next month, following the migration minister's declaration that the nation finds no legal reason to bar him from performing in the country. Still, the Italian ban is another blow to the rapper, who is just trying to make a comeback with his new album ‘Bully.’
