Kanye West previously performed in Mexico City and China, and has now returned to the United States for an electrifying performance. Unfortunately, as of now, Chicago does not seem to be part of the lineup. It has been nearly 5 years since he performed in Chicago.
Later this year, West is also expected to visit India for an exclusive show after canceling the same in March. Coming back to the United States, so far, he has performed at SoFi Stadium on April 1 and April 3, singing 32 tracks for the excited crowd, including several from his newly released album 'Bully.'
Fans had waited for a long time for the release of 'Bully,' which the rapper claimed was created without any AI involvement, after getting accused again and again for using it in the album. Despite multiple promised release dates since January, the album was delayed. However, he ultimately kept his promise and released it on March 28, 2026.
While his recent concert was full of energetic moments, it did not come without controversy.
What happened at Kanye West’s concert
Kanye West’s comeback drew a massive crowd, with thousands gathering for the performance. However, the show was not without controversy. Several critics pointed out technical issues, particularly with the lighting. Variety’s Steven J. Horowitz noted that the heavy fog around the stage made it difficult for the audience to see the rapper clearly, while the backing vocals often overpowered his own.

Despite these issues, much of the crowd was thrilled to witness West’s return to the stage. Several A-list artists joined him, including Travis Scott and CeeLo Green. Don Toliver also took the stage to perform the Donda track 'Moon.' Another surprising guest was Lauryn Hill, who performed 'All Falls Down' for the night. West’s daughter, North West, also made a special appearance during the concert. All in all, it was an incredible night, with the energy of the crowd palpable as they watched the rapper make his highly anticipated return to the stage.
