Consequence may have forgiven Q-Tip, but he certainly never forgets. Collaborations, beef, rivalries, and diss tracks are some of the common features of a rapper’s world. Kanye West is the prime example of one such rapper who is known to collaborate with many artists and end up in feuds. While he and the ‘Spaceship’ singer started off on a good note, the duo made news when the latter walked out of Ye’s G.O.O.D. music label.

Ever since he was new in the industry, Ye has been known to network quickly. He would collaborate with multiple artists, both old and new. Consequence revealed his rivalry with Q-Tip and Kanye West
A competitive music industry is never short of feuds. Being around the same age group, Consequence and Kanye West have a shared history, from their initial days. In an interview with VladTv, he revealed what happened when his own cousin signed up with his rap rival. “I was furious, yo,” he explained. He worked with Ye, but did not end up getting any music to release his sophomore album.
Just under a year after he walked out of Ye’s G.O.O.D. Music, Q-Tip signed with them. It became an issue of loyalty for Consequence, who expected his cousin to side with him. He even compared it to The Ummah failure with J Dilla and Ali Shaheed Muhammad. The upset rapper was further disappointed because Q-Tip’s collaboration happened when the ‘Hold On’ rapper was expecting a baby.
Things got personal for him, and despite the incident being old, he has certainly not forgotten it yet.

The rapper eventually made peace with Ye and Q-Tip
While the feud was intense, they eventually made peace. In 2011, Consequence made a public statement where he spoke of making amends with Ye and Q-Tip. Despite their feud, he spoke of humility and togetherness that can occur in the rap industry through communication.
Although it was through the G.O.O.D Music label that he debuted his album ‘Don’t Quit Your Day Job’! The rappers have held it together, despite their thick and thin’s through the years.
