Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s rumored wedding is back in the headlines after new reports claimed the much-anticipated celebration could cost a whopping $20 million. Sonal Shah, a luxury wedding planner, told the New York Post that it would cost the celebrity couple nearly $2.5 million just to rent out the arena, and that the wedding itself could cost up to $20 million in total. Additionally, speculation surrounding the event, its alleged New York City venue, and estimated cost has been rampant. 

“Once you add production, security, catering, entertainment, and décor, a Madison Square Garden wedding could very realistically become a $10 million to $20 million-plus event,” Shah said, acknowledging the extensive logistics and luxury services required to stage a large-scale celebrity wedding at a world-famous venue. 

In addition, she further stated to the New York Post that renting the reported venue of Madison Square Garden is much more than the price that will be paid for the venue. It also consists of having the exclusive use of the venue, security, costs of operation, and labor. Moreover, it was reported that there has been an order to close the streets surrounding the arena for the event.

Travis Kelce proposed to Taylor Swift in a backyard ceremony that the couple later called a secret garden setting in August 2025. Almost two weeks later, the couple revealed their engagement in a joint Instagram post.  

After Kelce's proposal, the wedding rumor started to swirl. Reports have surfaced detailing a particularly private celebration with heightened security, limited guest information, a black-tie dress code and strict no-phone and no-gift policies. Nevertheless, neither Swift nor Kelce has confirmed the reported wedding details.
