How Much Bonus Did Taylor Swift Give to Her Eras Tour Crew?

As Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour became the highest-grossing concert series in history in 2024, it was not just swifties and ticket sales that made headlines. The way the singer rewarded the people who brought her shows to life did too. Rather than letting success stop at the stage, Swift chose to share her financial gains with the hundreds of individuals who worked behind the scenes, from technicians and dancers to truck drivers and caterers.

Over the course of nearly two years, she reportedly distributed hundreds of millions in bonuses to her tour crew and performers, spotlighting a rare level of generosity in the live-music industry.

Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour team worked nonstop for almost two years, and she made sure they felt valued. According to a December 9, 2024, PEOPLE report, she gave out $197 million in bonuses to everyone on the tour, including those who took care of equipment transport, the people responsible for food, the merch staff, the security team, and, of course, the background dancers and band personnel.

According to PEOPLE, Swift started the tradition of handing out monetary rewards in August 2023 after the first North American leg, with $55 million in bonuses.

Taylor Swift’s new docuseries, The End of an Era, shows how shocked the crew was when the singer handed out their bonuses, confirmed by PEOPLE. Some dancers opened their envelopes and started cheering, while others stood quietly because they could not believe the amount.

One dancer even took a puff from an inhaler. A production crew member said he felt like he might pass out after seeing his check. The clips make it clear how emotional and overwhelming the moment was for everyone who worked with her. With the first two episodes of The End of an Era already serving quality content, the wait for the following chapters has only amplified.
