However, a new rumor swirling around beloved member Manon Bannerman has left EYEKONS both concerned and curious.

The 23-year-old Swiss singer is considering stepping back from group activities to focus on her health and well-being. But many are speculating that she could be leaving the group. Is there any truth to these whispers, or is it just bizarre speculation?

Deuxmoi shared on their Instagram a post claiming that Manon Bannerman could be taking a temporary hiatus from the group. However, what shocked fans was the account’s claim that Bannerman was being “phased out," which means the group might move ahead without her. But the truth is, while the singer is indeed set to be on a hiatus, she is expected to return soon.

The news was announced on Weverse, which is shared by HYBE and Geffen Records. 

"We fully support this decision. Katseye remains committed to showing up for one another and for the fans who mean everything to us,” the statement read as reported by Deadline and multiple other sources. 

What is concerning is that there is no confirmed timeline for her return, so fans must wait for the next update. As for the other events, the group will continue to perform and attend scheduled shows in Bannerman’s absence. The group is expected to perform at Coachella in April, so they are likely to be without their vocalist, Bannerman.

Now, in recent days, several celebrities have openly discussed taking much-needed breaks to focus on their health. And Bannerman has also been transparent about it on Weverse. She had earlier even hinted at her hiatus through a cryptic message.

The group, formed by Manon Bannerman, Sophia, Daniela, Lara, Megan, and Yoonchae are inching toward reaching the kind of cultural impact iconic groups of the past few decades have had on their fans. However, along with success, the group has also faced intense pressure and criticism. Manon Bannerman has also recently opened up about it.

“I’m healthy, I’m okay, and I’m taking care of myself. Thank u for checking in! Sometimes things unfold in ways we don't fully control, but I'm trusting the bigger picture,” she said.

The pressure has been quite immense on the group. Earlier, Lara Rajagopalan, who is no stranger to criticism, had also spoken openly about receiving death threats. While there has been much speculation about what the bigger picture means for the group and Bannerman, fans remain hopeful that the singer will recover quickly and return to join group activities soon.
