“Drake will be performing at the 2026 World Cup closing ceremony," the post claimed. However, there is no official confirmation from soccer governing bodies that the rapper will participate in any capacity. There is, in fact, no closing ceremony to begin with for FIFA 2026. 

Ongoing rumors and intense fan speculation previously surrounded his involvement; FIFA officially announced a completely different star-studded lineup. Music legends Madonna, Shakira, and BTS will officially co-headline the historic, first-ever final halftime show in New York and New Jersey. This massive Super Bowl-style concert will take place on Sunday, July 19, at the New York-New Jersey Stadium.

The highly anticipated global event will be masterfully curated by Chris Martin of Coldplay and broadcast live worldwide. FIFA President Gianni Infantino expressed immense pride in welcoming these border-transcending icons to the historic stage.

This charitable initiative aims to raise one hundred million dollars to expand quality learning and soccer opportunities for children globally. Pop icon Madonna shared that performing for this educational cause holds incredibly deep personal meaning for her.
