Dua Lipa Schools Everyone About Kendrick/Drake Beef on 'Saturday Night Live', Sends The World Wheezing

The last of the great rap beef is currently unfolding on the hip-hop carpet. Kendrick Lamar and Drake are the ones hoarding much of the cultural real estate at the moment. After weeks of tiptoeing around in a Cold War-esque standoff, Drake finally pulled on his Oppenheimer cap and dropped a lyrical artillery with a seven-minute diss track. In the last few days, the beef has been pushed to a whole other territory with back-and-forth disses from both sides. Yet, even in the heat of this fierce battle, some have managed to glean entertainment, including Dua Lipa.

The songstress recently made her hosting debut on Saturday Night Live, where she poked fun at the most significant event unfolding in the music world. Lipa took on the role of a culture critic who had been locked away for the past 48 hours. She stood before a whiteboard that had portraits of the two rappers and connected Post-It notes with words like "shoe size," "feet, " and "OVO".

She swiftly went through all the insults hurled back and forth between the two rappers, Drake and Lamar, in their diss tracks over the past few days. Lipa even took a moment to decipher some of the 'One Dance' rapper's Canadian slang and shed light on Tupac Shakur’s estate's involvement in the rap feud. Heidi Gardner and Mikey Day’s characters then brought out cutouts of Drake and Lamar’s faces, but just as tensions seemed about to escalate further, their morning show cut to a commercial.

It is unclear whether Dua Lipa has inadvertently included herself in the beef too. But, considering how Drake flat-out ignored Ye, formerly known as Kanye West's attempts to gatecrash the feud, it seems he has only got his eyes on Kendrick Lamar in this throw down.
