With 'Janice STFU' at the top of the chart after the release of his three albums, Drake has surpassed Michael Jackson's record for the most No. 1s on the Billboard Hot 100 by a solo male artist. While the King of Pop has taken over Hollywood with his latest biopic, Michael, led by his nephew Jaafar Jackson, Drake keeps on surpassing yet another record established by the pop icon. Earlier this month, Drake broke Michael Jackson’s longstanding record of the most albums with over 10 years each on the Billboard 200. Now, he has done it again, twice in the same month.

Everyone was waiting for Drake's single 'Janice STFU' to reach the top of the Billboard Hot 100, and that is exactly what happened. This is officially Drake's 14th number one hit, which is a significant milestone for him, according to Billboard. Because of this, he is now the male solo artist with the most number one hits, surpassing Michael Jackson.

It is also important to note that Drake has 42 songs on the charts this week. Officially, this is a record for the most simultaneous Hot 100 debuts. Morgan Wallen, who once had 37 songs on the charts at once, previously held this record. He also becomes the first performer to have more than 400 career entries on the chart with 40 premieres, setting a single-week record.

Drake's three new albums, 'Iceman,' 'Habibti,' and 'Maid of Honour' (released May 15 on OVO Sound/Republic), are the source of all 42 titles. They debuted at Nos. 1, 2, and 3 on the Billboard 200, respectively, making him the first artist in the chart's 70-year history to monopolize the top three at the same time.

Songs like 'Billie Jean' and 'Thriller' attracted a lot of attention, and his solo repertoire witnessed a 116% spike in streaming.

It seems like it is a win-win situation for both Drake and Michael Jackson. On one hand, Drake has been replacing records made by the late legend, and on the other, the King of Pop has found a new audience in an era totally different from when he made his classics. The success of Michael has led to a newer generation discovering Jackson’s catalogue, and it seems like a revival of the King of Pop.
