Drake's 'ICEMAN' has officially become the longest-running number one album of 2026 on the Billboard 200, surpassing both BTS and Noah Kahan. The feat alone would be headline-worthy, but the story behind it stretches far beyond a single chart position. From a historic triple-album debut to records that once belonged to music's all-time greats, this is a run for the books.
The Billboard 200 has seen big debuts before, but neither BTS nor Noah Kahan could hold the crown the way 'ICEMAN' did.

'ICEMAN' secured its fourth straight week at number one on the Billboard 200, surpassing the three-week runs of Noah Kahan's 'The Great Divide' and BTS' 'ARIRANG' to become 2026's longest-reigning chart-topper. The album debuted on May 15, 2026, with 463,000 equivalent album units, the biggest hip-hop and R&B debut of the year. Streaming carried the momentum through weeks two, three, and four with ~225K, ~171K, and ~133K–137K units respectively, proving 'ICEMAN' was built for endurance, not just a flashy opening sprint.
That sustained performance did not exist in isolation. Drake released 'ICEMAN' alongside two companion projects, 'HABIBTI' and 'MAID OF HONOUR,' all on the same day, and all three debuted at numbers one, two, and three simultaneously on the Billboard 200. No artist in the chart's 70-year history had ever monopolised the top three positions at once, a record that stood proud before Billboard even confirmed 'ICEMAN's four-week grip at the top.
While 'ICEMAN' was busy rewriting 2026's chart history, Drake was also dismantling decades-old records set by some of music's all-time greats.
How Drake's chart dominance extended well beyond ICEMAN's Billboard 200 run
The Billboard records did not stop at the album chart. Drake placed 42 songs on the Hot 100 in a single week, all sourced from the three albums, breaking Morgan Wallen's previous record of 37 simultaneous entries. He also became the first artist to surpass 400 career Hot 100 entries, with 40 of those debuting in one week alone. All 18 'ICEMAN' tracks remained on the Hot 100 for three consecutive weeks, another unprecedented achievement.

The headline-within-the-headline, however, belongs to 'Janice STFU.' The track gave Drake his 14th number one single on the Hot 100, officially surpassing Michael Jackson's record for the most number one hits among solo male artists. Jackson, currently experiencing a massive streaming revival thanks to his biopic Michael, had long held that record. Drake now owns it, while 'ICEMAN' cements its place as 2026's most dominant album release.
