Dolly Parton Gets Fresh Hollywood Walk of Fame Star After Vandalism

Dolly Parton's Walk of Fame star has been replaced. Since her death on August 25, 2026, the headlines have seen an outpouring of condolences and tributes from fans and industry veterans. Not just that, music streaming platforms have also witnessed a Dolly Parton renaissance, with her total streams surging by more than 1,260% globally.

But amid the mourning and heartfelt tributes, an alleged act of vandalism targeting her Hollywood Walk of Fame star has left everyone furious. Nonetheless, it has now been restored, as confirmed by the Hollywood Walk of Fame Producer herself.

Dolly Parton‘s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which she received in 1984, has been replaced after the original one was vandalized, as reported by Variety. The star was reportedly found with several scratches shortly after the country legend’s death on August 25. According to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, the star was anyway supposed to be repaired, even before the vandalism incident, as it already had a crack because of ordinary wear and tear.

“Our Dolly is back! Hollywood is thrilled that her star is back in pristine condition for fans to enjoy forever," Ana Martinez, Hollywood Walk of Fame Producer told Variety,

A biographical stage production chronicling the life and career of country music icon Dolly Parton, Dolly: A True Original Musical, is about to hit Broadway on December 7. It will feature her iconic hits like ‘I Will Always Love You,’ ‘Jolene,’ ‘Coat of Many Colors,’ and ‘9 to 5,’ alongside many other new songs. There will also be a global festival, DOLLYFEST, which will take place across two consecutive weekends in 2027 in Nashville, Tennessee, and London, England.

Dollywood will also reopen in March 2027, with a new character named The Dream Maker in Wildwood Grove and updates to the Songteller Experience. Lastly, there is the Dolly Parton: Journey of a Seeker exhibition, which runs through October 4 at the Country Music Hall of Fame.
