Did Kendrick Lamar Diss Kanye West Alongside Drake and J. Cole on His Latest Track?

After months of waiting, Future and Metro Boomin fans finally got the artists’ first collaboration of the year, 'We Don’t Trust You'. While all 17 tracks on the list wound up being hits with the public, there was one that seemed to catch everyone off guard. It was the Kendrick Lamar feature. Although the 36-year-old openly took shots at his fellow fan-favorite rappers, J. Cole and Drake, something else from the song left everyone wondering if he had subtly dissed Kanye West as well.

Ye and the rapper may have collaborated on various tracks in the past. However, they have not always been able to see eye-to-eye.

Yesterday, the world was shocked when Kendrick Lamar aimed J. Cole and Drake with his feature on Future and Metro Boomin’s track, ‘Like That’. While the rapper did not mention Kanye West in his verse, he did use the same sample that the 46-year-old had used in his 2022 collaboration with The Game, ‘Eazy’. So far, the artist has acknowledged it, proving that it could just be a coincidence.

The 36-year-old had not been subtle about his other disses. He had addressed Cole’s verse in Drake’s track, 'First Person Shooter', to shade the collaborators. Lamar mentioned the “big three.” However, it was rather different from the ‘MIDDLE CHILD’ artist’s praise. Instead, he stated, “Motherf*ck the big three/ It’s just big me.” While the rapper's sudden shade came as a surprise, he was not the only artist who recently aimed at hip-hop’s biggest stars.

Big Sean poked the Big Three

In the 2010s, Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Drake, Big Sean, and more were all making their way up the ladder of success in the music industry. While the first three rappers managed to make their way to the top and stay there, the same could not have been said for the 'Mercy' artist. However, recently he teased fans with a short freestyle clip on Instagram to hype up an unnamed album. In the clip, Sean ended up firing shots at the "so-called big three," claiming he did not have the "energy" to compete with them.

Although Sean's track dropped first, some fans could not help but wonder if Lamar had tweaked his verse a little after the 35-year-old's diss. While that would be an iconic move, there is a possibility that the verse could have been the 'Money Trees' rapper's way of telling the father of one to try harder to keep up with him instead of paying attention to everyone else.
