Did Kanye West Diss Donald Trump in His Latest Album? Here’s The Truth
They say music is an art of expression - expression of one’s inner self. It is quite normal for artists to let their inner emotions and opinions seep into their art. Mostly, these expressions tend to be related to their personal life, maybe social issues sometimes; however, on occasions, they also trespass into the political domain. The most recent exhibit of this phenomenon comes from Kanye West (now Ye), who has a long, well-documented history of dissing other artists and celebrities.
But this time, it is not any other artist or celebrity. Kanye West has allegedly aimed his dissing tendencies at Donald Trump in his latest album release.

On March 27, Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, released his latest album, ‘Bully,’ his 12th studio album and his first solo album since 2022. Now, the internet alleges that West has dissed American President Donald Trump in his new album. This, however, is not true at all, and the evidence suggesting this seems to be fabricated.
According to Frank Magana on X, a whole verse in Ye's new album is dedicated to his views on the current political scenario and Trump’s policies. These allegations have taken the whole internet by the storm. Most importantly, the lyrics seem to be fabricated in a way that it feels like a part of the album.
“Orange spray tan, invading Iran. Strings pulled by Benjamin. He got you on his puppet hand. The way I cross the line they’ll need to call ICE, man".
“Tell JD Vance to run me my advance. Before I hit him with the left, right, like I got no political stance.”
These, along with some others, are the verses that have stirred up the entire internet. But these do not exist anywhere in the original album. But there is a reason why there were many takers for this rumors. In the past West has taken shots at Donald Trump over his policies.
But it is also true that he once favored him too. So the question comes naturally to mind: what went wrong?
Kanye West and Donald Trump - a fluctuating relationship
Kanye West’s rumored diss on Donald Trump made sense for many, as he has a tumultuous relationship with the American President.
Initially, he favored Trump and his Make America Great Again (MAGA) campaign. He even praised him on his X account in 2018, saying, "You don't have to agree with Trump but the mob can't make me not love him."
Over time, West's political views changed. He began his own presidential campaign in 2020, criticizing Trump and saying he felt used by the Republican Party. In spite of this, he continued to communicate with Trump and far-right leaders, including dining with Trump and Nick Fuentes in 2022, and later backed Trump once more in 2024.

There is no exact reasoning for his erratic political opinions, but most probably, it is shaped by his personal aspirations and ideological perspectives. Anyhow, things seem to be pretty neutral between the two for now, and the rumors are supposed to be a provocation for extreme reactions from either parties involved.
With the release of 'Bully' and its track list, West already created enough hype for the album, but the alleged diss on Trump has taken everything to another level.
