After making it to the nominations of the 81st Golden Globe Awards with 'The Eras Tour'

Dethroning Blockbusters Like Barbenheimer Will Taylor Swift’s ‘The Eras Tour’ Make This Prestigious Title Her Own at the 81st Golden Globes?

After ransacking the Billboard Charts with her extended stays, Taylor Swift
[https://www.netflixjunkie.com/tag/taylor-swift/] has finally set foot in the
trophy season with the upcoming Golden Globe Awards. The songstress is not just
the showrunner of the peaking charts of the musical industry anymore, but also a
steering captain of the world of cinephiles, all thanks to her The Eras Tour
film. The past year witnessed Swift’s concert movie run neck and neck with
box-office hits like Barbie and Oppenheimer.

This year, as The Eras Tour walks in on a different arena of combat with her
nomination, the question remains whether the flick bags the crown for this
prestigious category or is brushed aside.

CAN TAYLOR SWIFT MAKE IT BIG AT THE 2024 GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS?

The New Year merriment might have eased off, but Taylor Swift’s recognition is
far from quieting down. Strutting with authority with her record-breaking
streaks, the pop sensation has finally set her eyes on the Golden Globe Awards
for The Eras Tour’s nomination
[https://www.netflixjunkie.com/music-news-taylor-swift-golden-globes-2024-how-the-eras-tour-singer-can-create-history-in-la/]
in the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement category. As per Variety’s forecast
for this category
[https://variety.com/lists/2024-golden-globes-awards-predictions/cinematic-and-box-office-achievement/],
The Eras Tour has received a favorable prediction with a “Will Win” nod from the
publication.

The Golden Globe nomination may not at all be a shocker, but Variety’s
prediction chart surely is. Especially since Swift’s genius has outplayed Greta
Gerwig’s Barbie in the foretelling charts, leaving it at the station for the
category of a “Could Win”. Although it had garnered a staggering figure of over
$250 million at the box office, it is now time to wait and watch if Variety’s
anticipation sits well and Taylor Swift has the last laugh.

2024 looks all shiny with the cornering days awaiting another addition to Taylor
Swift’s legacy saga. However, since The Eras Tour was left behind by Gerwig’s
cinematic flare in 2023 for this reason, one cannot help but wonder the ultimate
outcome.

WILL TAYLOR SWIFT BEAT GRETA GERWIG’S BARBIE AFTER THE WORLDWIDE BOX OFFICE
SHOWDOWN?

The last stretch of 2023 saw the surfacing of closing remarks of achievement in
the field of films as well. According to the Worldwide Box Office by IMDbPro,
The Eras Tour stood at the 20th position, being away with a sizeable gap from
Greta Gerwig’s Barbie. The flick reigned at the apex of the chart with over $1
billion in global sales.

Taylor Swift’s concert cinema, on the other hand, despite its historic run in
the theaters, could only manage a counter of $250 million worldwide and $179,000
in domestic sales. With the distinct space that catalyzed the envisaged conquest
for Barbie, it makes one wonder who will snatch the crown for the award season
now, without a doubt. To get to know the same, make sure to keep track of the
81st Golden Globe Awards on January 7th.
