Every year, the Super Bowl halftime show turns into a mini global concert, bringing together some of the biggest artists in the world. This year, Grammy-winning artist Bad Bunny turned up the Latin heat with an electrifying performance at Levi’s Stadium. So, one might assume a paycheck just as massive.

However, as it turns out, the singer may have walked away from the biggest night in football without much to boost his net worth. But did he actually have to pay out of his own pocket for the performance?

Bad Bunny delivered a 13-minute cinematic spectacle during the Super Bowl halftime show. However, he was not paid for the performance due to the NFL’s long-standing tradition. The league covers all travel and production expenses, but it does not pay the artists. So while Bad Bunny did not have to spend his own money on the show, he also did not earn a paycheck for it.

Despite the lack of a payment, the opportunity to perform is considered a huge honor and promotion, as millions of viewers around the world tune in not only for the game but also for the halftime show. Over the years, legendary artists and icons such as Beyoncé, Bruno Mars, Eminem, Diana Ross, Bruce Springsteen, Madonna, and Michael Jackson have performed at the Super Bowl halftime show.

Last year, Kendrick Lamar started a frenzy with his halftime performance. And that tradition of groundbreaking performances has continued for decades.

After that, Ricky Martin appeared to perform 'LO QUE LE PASÓ A HAWAii.'

Now, whether or not the artists are paid for their Super Bowl appearances, they made sure to make it one of the biggest nights and performances of their careers.
