BLACKPINK’s Lisa to Make History as First K-pop Artist With Las Vegas Residency

Published 03/30/2026, 11:31 AM EDT

Las Vegas residency concerts have become one of music’s surest bets, with recent runs by A-list acts turning into both box-office and cultural hits. Jennifer Lopez’s show at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace has sold out multiple staggered dates. Kelly Clarkson’s residency has drawn ecstatic crowds too, underscoring how the residency model rewards consistent, high-quality production over flash-in-the-pan tours. Now, BLACKPINK's Lisa is about to join this elite list.

Not only is Lisa staging a residency, but she is also the first K-pop artist to do so, and with strategically planned dates.

According to Variety, BLACKPINK’s Lisa is poised to carve a new chapter in both K-pop and Las Vegas entertainment history by launching her first solo residency, Viva La Lisa, at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in November 2026. Instead of starting as a touring act in the shadow of established Western stars, she is stepping straight into one of the most storied venues on the Strip, booking two compact but strategic weekends, November 13–14 and 27–28.

This move makes her the first K-pop artist ever to headline a full Las Vegas residency, blending high-concept spectacle with the intimate, repeat-show format that defines modern Vegas showmanship. Lisa’s arrival in Sin City follows the massive commercial and critical success of her debut full-length solo studio album 'Alter Ego', which not only landed at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart but also lodged itself in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200.

Her résumé already includes setting records for social-media followers, winning multiple MTV-branded awards, and anchoring BLACKPINK’s sold-out DEADLINE World Tour, so the Las Vegas run feels less like a trial and more like a natural progression into the upper echelon of global superstars.

While Lisa makes history with her residency, fellow BLACKPINK member Jisoo is making her own mark in acting.

Jisoo’s rom‑com leap on Netflix

Jisoo makes her most high-profile acting turn yet in the Netflix K-drama Boyfriend on Demand. This 10-episode romantic comedy leans into the fantasy of virtual dating while quietly grounding its story in modern loneliness. She plays Seo Mi-rae, a weary webtoon producer drained by deadlines and the grind of everyday life, who impulsively signs up for a subscription-based virtual dating service that delivers tailor-made romantic experiences.

Inside the simulation, Mi-rae bounces from one fantasy date to the next, tasting the dopamine rush of idealized love without the messiness of real-world relationships. Outside it, she keeps running into Park Kyeong-nam, played by Seo In-guk, an initially aloof coworker whose quiet, grounded presence slowly complicates her fantasy-driven escape.

As the story unfolds, the lines between scripted romance and genuine connection blur, nudging Mi-rae and the audience to question what kind of love she actually wants. Between this and Lisa’s Las Vegas residency, BLACKPINK members are now firmly owning separate but equally bold chapters in global entertainment.
