Ariana Grande will take a step back from the public eye after the Eternal Sunshine Tour concludes in London. The decision arrives amid continued public discussion surrounding the pop star's appearance. Whether framed as scrutiny or concern, throughout the run, her dazzling vocals and energetic performances repeatedly competed with relentless public commentary about Grande's appearance, turning her body into an unwelcome talking point. The scrutiny reached an all-time high with her newly released music video 'Petal'.
If you have been on the internet, you would know that the conversation lingered from the Wicked period, but the more public appearances Grande made, the more people started talking about her health. Fast forward to now, Grande's representative has announced a temporary public hiatus.
Ariana Grande's break from the public
The representative exclusively revealed to People that Ariana Grande would step away from the public eye after concluding the Eternal Sunshine Tour in London on September 1. According to them, Grande wants to finish the run on a "high note" before taking a well-earned break from public-facing work and appearances following relentless public attention.
The representative also emphasized that the tour has been a deeply rewarding chapter for Ariana Grande, adding that she has cherished every moment spent performing for her fans. With the announcement, fans now have 13 shows remaining, including Chicago dates before a 10-night London residency.

“She performs healthily and successfully at a very high level night after night,” A source close to Ariana Grande shared that assessment with People, noting the demanding athleticism required for the concert production. The remark also reflected the concerns that the internet had about the pop star's health and performing rigorous concerts again and again.
While Ariana Grande's EGOT prospects kept fans talking, her representative quietly confirmed another major career update.
Ariana Grande drops off of West End production
Keeping in line with the statement of keeping away from public activities, Ariana Grande has also stepped away from another high-profile commitment. The Grammy-winning singer will no longer appear in the West End revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sunday in the Park with George, where she had been cast as Dot/Marie opposite Wicked co-star Jonathan Bailey. The production will continue with a replacement yet to be announced.
