By the time Taylor Swift wraps her Eras Tour in December 2024, she would have earned a staggering estimate of well over $4 billion. Interestingly, early predictions have pegged that her US shows alone have and by the end of it will generate over $4.5 billion in consumer spending. Moreover, US businesses are set to earn anywhere north of $5.7 billion from her touring. Now, as per a DailyMail report, she has already garnered over $126 million well before her Australian kick-off on February 16.

Booking her tour dates until 26th February, the ‘Red’ singer will be the only female artist after Madonna to lead three and the only one to host four consecutive shows at the Melbourne Cricket Ground and Sydney’s Accor Stadium, respectively. As of now, ticket sales, hotel bookings, and merchandise demands for the tour have already sky-rocketed in the southern hemisphere. All in all, Australians are set to spend over $326 million for the spectacle.

In the latter half of 2023, revenue generated by Taylor Swift’s tour and Greta Gerwig’s Barbie balanced the US economy. However, pouring in the numbers did not come from them directly. Her host cities have benefitted massively from the shows. From bringing in over $200 million to the merchandising industry, to $208 million for hotels, and eking out an average spend of about $1300 per Swiftie from travel and related expenses played their role in boosting the economy.

In parallel, Swift’s concerts generated hundreds of jobs. Thereafter, she provided large donations to food banks and shed over $55 million in bonuses and gifts for her employees and truckers. By all means, the singer now stands as an absolute icon of peak artistry and humanity.
