Fans have waited long enough for A$AP Rocky’s album, 'Don’t Be Dumb.' After multiple delays and even the artist joking that he might never release it, the album is finally here. As many expected, 'Don’t Be Dumb' quickly stirred the pot, sparking controversy as the rapper and record producer appeared to slip a few diss-filled lines into several tracks. And the lyrics seem to be aimed at none other than rapper Drake.

As listeners flock to stream the tracks, the dots seem to be connected, linking them to the long-running tension between the two rappers.

Fans have a mixed reaction to A$AP Rocky’s 'Don’t Be Dumb,' but much of the online discussion has focused on some of the lyrics, which seem to hint that the artist appears to be taking subtle shots at Drake across multiple tracks on the album. On 'Stole Ya Flow,' he seems to have hinted at copying claims and BBL allegations.

"If you stole my style, I need at least like ten percent [...] N- getting BBLs, lucky we don't body shame," he sang.

The disses seem to continue with the track, 'No Trespassing,' he seemed to have pointed out Drake’s move to Texas, as per Complex.

“I might move to Texas, roll 'round with protection, pull up to your section, hit 'em with the fire,” he sang.

Last but not least, the track 'Playa,' in the album, seems to have A$AP Rocky hinting at family-related criticism that Drake has faced before.

“Takin' care of your kids, boy, that's player s--- / One b----, boy, that's player s---/ No baby mama drama, no new friends, boy, that's player s---,” he sang, boasting of having no drama or issues.

While it is not confirmed by A$AP Rocky that these are actually jabs taken at Drake, fans have been connecting the lyrics to the 'God's Plan' rapper. And given how Rocky found last year's Lamar-Drake beef healthy, this could begin another beef.

Back when A$AP Rocky found Kendrick Lamar and Drake’s beef healthy

The seemingly beef between Kendrick Lamar and Drake made headlines last year, leaving many divided in this rivalry. As for A$AP Rocky, he is looking at something beyond this rivalry that he believes can benefit the entire hip hop world. Speaking in a cover interview with ELLE in September 2025, Rocky explained that lyrical competition has always been part of the culture and can push artists to sharpen their craft.

“It was healthy for hip-hop,” he said.

This dissing is nothing new for A$AP Rocky or Drake. While the artist had dissed Drake in Metro Boomin’s single 'Show of Hands,' the latter also had a few words directed at A$AP Rocky in his track ‘Family Matter.’ Whether Drake will respond to the 'Fashion Killa' star remains to be seen.

Until A$AP Rocky makes a direct comment, listeners will keep dissecting the lyrics and debating their meaning on social media. So, whether the lines are intentional shots or simply sharp wordplay, 'Don’t Be Dumb' has clearly reignited conversations.
