Taylor Swift Turns Heads With Dakota Johnson in NYC Amid Feud With Blake Lively

Taylor Swift is no longer keeping it low, whether It Ends With Drama or not. Months of public no-shows have finally hit a pause with the superstar back in the Big Apple. And to ensure the spotlight shines solely on her, she stepped out with her new Hollywood bestie, Dakota Johnson, amid the all-consuming beef with Blake Lively. The news comes hot on the heels of Swift’s Florida date night with her NFL boyfriend, Travis Kelce, who has been training for the upcoming season.
While Swift and Lively’s friendship may remain on the rocks, she seems no longer interested in maintaining a distance with others, and the NYC shutterbugs are firsthand proof.

Taylor Swift finally came out of hiding for a scrumptious dinner in New York City on Thursday night with Dakota Johnson. They stopped by the Italian hotspot Via Carota and were joined by their brothers, Austin Swift and Jesse Johnson. Swift dolled up for the night in a $298 DÔEN dress, Noir Wild Rose, featuring red, yellow, and blue floral print on a black spaghetti-strapped dress.
Swift accessorized with a black belt called Phoenix Leather B-low The Belt, cinched to her waist, a black Balmain bag flaunting an oversized buckle, black Christian Louboutin heels, and gold necklaces and bracelets. Meanwhile, Johnson opted for a more dramatic look in a flowing black dress, a cropped leather jacket, a matching purse, and sheer mesh mules. But the showstopper was a diamond chandelier necklace adorning her collarbones.
Taylor Swift and Dakota Johnson’s outing came right ahead of her reclamation of master recordings amid the high-profile feud with Blake Lively. After the news broke out, Scooter Braun reacted to it.
What was Scooter Braun’s reaction to Taylor Swift’s latest announcement?
Big Machine Records sold the rights to Taylor Swift’s first six albums to Scooter Braun, which was later sold to Shamrock Capital, leaving her to fight for her rights. When Page Six first reported the chances of Swift reclaiming the records from Shamrock Capital, all fans waited was for the deal to close. And after Swift announced it on May 30, Braun unexpectedly reacted to it.

“I’m happy for her,” Braun said to US Weekly after reportedly backing the deal and urging Shamrock Capital to close the sale with her. However, according to a PEOPLE report negating the previous news, "this moment finally happened in spite of Scooter Braun, not because of him." In a lengthy letter shared on her website, Swift wrote, “I almost stopped thinking it could ever happen, after 20 years of having the carrot dangled and then yanked away.” But now those are just the ghosts of a musical past because everything in her discography officially belongs to her.
