From cool trips to TikTok shenanigans and matching tattoos, they have become one of Hollywood’s favorite best-friend duos. The singer’s even tight with Nicola Peltz’s hubby and has a strong friendship trio with the couple. 

Recently, Beckham had a remarkable achievement. And Selena Gomez hit up social media to shower her best friend with wishes.

Selena Gomez wished her BFF for her directorial debut

Nicola Peltz Beckham will hit a major career milestone with her directorial debut in Lola. With that, Vertical has snapped up the North American rights for the film and boasts an impressive cast featuring actors like Virginia Madsen, Trevor Long, Luke David Blumm, and many more. Vertical has also slated the flick for February 9, 2024. To toast this achievement, Selena Gomez hopped on Instagram, to share a story for the American actress. She captioned her story saying, “So proud of you bb”.

Beckham would also be playing the lead Lola, whose sole motivation in the movie would be to save her little brother from their toxic home. The exact beginning of Beckham and Gomez’s friendship is not in the records. However, they started displaying their bond on social media since the year 2022. During an interview this year, Peltz shed some light on the journey of this incredible friendship that has stood the test of time.

How did this adorable “throuple” begin their friendship? 

In an April interview with Cosmopolitan UK, the Beckham couple revealed that they bumped into Gomez in passing a few years ago. Following the meeting, they all attended the Academy Gala, where they met again. With each encounter, the trio forged a bond and eventually became inseparable. Peltz Beckham also revealed that they call their trio a “throuple”. This term was already familiar among Selenators after Gomez shared the pictures of her 2023  New Year’s trip. 

Selena Gomez spent her new years with Nicola and Brooklyn Beckham and also shared cute pictures on her Instagram. “Fine calls us a throuple”, wrote Gomez in the caption of the post featuring the trio cuddling with each other on a cruise. Brooklyn Beckham also commented on the picture saying, “Facts”. It is heartwarming to see the friends celebrating each other’s achievements with utmost pride!
