Michael Jackson’s family has continued to make headlines this year. The biopic Michael, starring Jaafar Jackson, was released earlier in April and took the world by storm, earning millions worldwide. Now, the Jackson family is back in the news, but this time for a very different reason.

Paris Jackson made demands regarding her father Michael Jackson’s estate, along with making bold accusations against its longtime executor.

Paris Jackson demands $600 million for Michael Jackson Family Trust

Page Six recently reported that Paris Jackson asked a Los Angeles judge to order a partial distribution of $600 million from the late father Michael Jackson’s estate to the Michael Jackson Family Trust. As per court filings, the estate has earned billions after the death of Michael Jackson, but the trust that is meant for Jackson's kids has not been funded.

Michael Jackson’s will also claimed that his kids will receive income from their respective portions of the trust when they turn 21.

However, Paris Jackson claimed that they have not received the income. The court filing further claimed that the longtime executor, John Branca, is controlling how much money gets transferred to the fund. Branca had previously resigned from The Michael Jackson Company back in 2006 and later rejoined in 2009, just 9 days before Jackson's death.

Now, a spokesperson for the Michael Jackson Estate told Page Six that the estate is unable to fully fund the trust until it has resolved all the legal matters, including ongoing litigation with the IRS, which sought $700 million in taxes and penalties.  It further dismissed the claims of reduced payments to the trust beneficiaries. As of now, the case is scheduled for a December hearing.

This is the second-largest award in the group, behind a Pixar animated film that received $40.1 million. While production is set to begin in late 2026 or early 2027, Motion Picture chief Adam Fogelson stated that 25% to 30% of the sequel has already been filmed. The film is expected to arrive towards the end of 2027 or in the first half of 2028.
