Lisa is adding another major US television appearance to a solo era that has become increasingly difficult to call anything but busy. The BLACKPINK star has spent the past year jumping between music, acting, fashion and some decidedly bigger stages, proving that her life outside the group has plenty of its own plot twists. Now, she is bringing that pleasantly crowded résumé to late night, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, to be specific. 

The 'Born Again' singer has never exactly been short on things to promote, but her next late-night stop comes with an unusually packed to-do list.

Lisa will appear on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on September 16 at 11:35 p.m. ET. According to the show’s announcement, the BLACKPINK member will discuss her new single 'SaWaDiKa,' and upcoming EP 'PRESS PLAY.' Her forthcoming Las Vegas residency, VIVA LA LISA and documentary Always Lalisa also add to the fairly generous list for one late-night couch.

'SaWaDiKa' arrived September 3, 2026, while 'PRESS PLAY' is scheduled for October 23. Meanwhile, Lisa is preparing to take VIVA LA LISA to the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in November, with all four announced shows selling out in under 10 minutes. The Tonight Show appearance also lands at an interesting point in Lisa's career: BLACKPINK remains the group that made her a global name, but her solo résumé is increasingly refusing to behave like a side project.

The late-night appearance is only the latest stop in a solo journey that has already crossed music, acting and now documentary filmmaking.

Directed by Sue Kim, Always Lalisa follows Lisa during a year away from BLACKPINK as she builds her solo career. This will span her debut album 'Alter Ego,' her acting debut in The White Lotus and her preparations for her 2025 Coachella performance. The documentary also turns its attention to the less polished question underneath all that success: who Lisa wants to be when BLACKPINK is not defining the frame.

The film premieres at the 2026 Toronto International Film Festival before opening in IMAX and cinemas worldwide for a limited run from October 12. It will later stream exclusively on YouTube Premium.

To add to all of it, the BLACKPINK has hardly been sitting still outside the documentary. She performed at the 2026 FIFA World Cup opening ceremony, joined the Met Gala host committee, presented at the Golden Globes, and has two Netflix projects in the works, including Tygo. So yes, Jimmy Fallon has plenty to ask about.
