The world is holding its breath for Taylor Swift’s upcoming album, 'The Tortured Poets Department,' to be released. While some expect it to continue themes explored in the 'Till Dawn Edition' of 'Midnights,' others bet on a medley of melancholic breakup melodies. As the rumor mill churns at full motion, like usual, Jimmy Fallon casually tossed in a few more breadcrumbs during The Tonight Show, keeping the excitement rolling for fans.

In a classic The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon style, the host playfully compared Taylor Swift's upcoming album to recent natural calamities, suggesting it is going to be an absolute chart-topper!

With 'The Tortured Poets Department' about to drop on April 19, fans are in a frenzy trying to decode what it is going to be about. Amidst such buzz, the official X, formerly Twitter, page of The Tonight Show, ignited curiosity with images of Jimmy Fallon reading all the “mind-blowing events” that happened this month. His sly comment, “Last week, earthquake. This week, eclipse. Next week: Taylor Swift's new album,” had fans imagining Taylor Swift possibly gracing the show to drum up excitement for her latest creation.

Fallon does not miss a beat when it comes to Swift's album promotions. Back in February, he started his Monday monologue by sharing the latest “Taylor Swift news”, teasing about everyone pretending to be surprised at the Grammys when she won. He also joked about 'The Tortured Poets Department' and how its April announcement made other artists push their albums to "June". Hence, this was not the first time Fallon had hyped the pop star on his show, and it certainly was not the first time Swift's name was connected to seismic activity.

Taylor Swift printed billions with her superhit Eras Tour. However, following two nights of electrifying performances in Seattle's Lumen Field, Swifties caused seismic activity equivalent to a 2.3 magnitude earthquake, as reported by seismologist Jackie Caplan-Auerbach. The ensuing celebration was picked up on the same local seismometer used during the Swift concert, Caplan-Auerbach informed CNN. According to another report based on an American Geophysical Union study, the top five songs that triggered the seismic activity were ‘Shake It Off’, ‘You Belong With Me’, ‘Love Story’, ‘Cruel Summer’, and ‘22’.

Swift's 'Shake It Off' track caused literal ground-shaking with an exertion of 1.798 magnitude, while 'You Belong With Me' followed closely with an estimated 1.796 magnitude. 'Love Story' produced tremors of about 1.76 magnitudes, closely trailed by 'Cruel Summer' with 1.71 magnitudes of vibration. Finally, '22' generated approximately 1.64 magnitudes of energy release. And now, the excitement of Swift potentially causing another earthquake with her upcoming release is just a few days away.
