Famed comedian Trevor Noah has built a name for himself through his iconic hosting gigs, film appearances, and Emmy wins. Over the course of his career, it is no surprise that he has amassed a massive empire, reportedly worth $100 million. From his lucrative run on The Daily Show to his steady reign on awards-show stages, success has followed him with admirable persistence.

Having presided over the Grammy Awards for five consecutive years, the question now is less about his punchlines and more about the paycheck: just how much has Noah earned from music’s biggest night alone?

According to Forbes, the average paycheck for hosting the Grammy Awards is around $20,000 per show. While Trevor Noah’s exact earnings for the gig are unknown, he is likely to receive a similar amount. Since he has hosted the Grammys five times so far, he may have earned roughly $100,000 in total.

Now, compared to the millions he reportedly made on The Daily Show, this amount is quite modest. However, this is only an assumption based on the average paycheck for the role. Whether this is accurate or not, the amount clearly has not been a concern for Noah, who will be returning to host the show for a sixth time. 

Fans and producers alike have appreciated his contribution, which has helped the show grow. But the actor did not make it easy for the producers to hire him for the job.

After five successful years, Trevor Noah decided it was time to move on. However, when producers could not find the right replacement by December, producer Ben Winston sent Noah a video asking him to return for one final year and while Noah took some time to respond, he ultimately agreed.

“I sent [Noah] a video, and literally I was on my knees in this video, and I said, 'Please look at this incredible lineup we've got on the show. The only thing that's missing is you, come back and do one final year,'" he recalled, as per People.

Recording Academy President Harvey Mason Jr. has also advocated for Noah to take the job for the sixth time and even called him the ideal person for the role. And fans would likely agree, having enjoyed Noah’s entertaining and engaging presence at the Grammys for five consecutive years. While the last year's event was impressive, what 2026 has in store remains to be seen.
