Season 2 of Landman did not just keep Paramount+’s hit drama buzzing. It raised expectations for what Season 3 could look like. With the show continuing to grow in viewership and cultural traction, the conversation around the series has shifted from whether it will stay a hit to how big it can get next.
There may not be a release date update yet for Season 3, but there is a much heavier update behind the scenes.

The original Landman cast has landed major salary increases heading into the show’s third season. The biggest names involved are the original regulars who helped build the series into one of Paramount+’s flagship dramas, and the raise reflects how much stronger the show’s leverage has become after its recent success.
Billy Bob Thornton is excluded from the renegotiation story because he already had a separate arrangement, while Demi Moore has also secured a new deal that puts her on a much higher salary tier next season as per Deadline.
The rest of the original cast also came out very well. Ali Larter, in particular, is said to have more than doubled her previous pay and also added a talent deal as per Deadline's exclusive.
Meanwhile, breakout performers such as Jacob Lofland and Michelle Randolph are moving into the six figure per episode range, with several of the supporting regulars also getting substantial percentage bumps from a lower starting point. That includes Paulina Chavez, Kayla Wallace, Mark Collie, and James Jordan.
And with the cast now locked in and rewarded, attention naturally shifts to what Season 3 will bring on screen.
Landman Season 3 storylines could raise the stakes even higher
Season 3 of Landman is already shaping up to be the next big chapter for Paramount+’s breakout hit, even though the streamer has not announced a release date yet. After Season 2 ended on a strong and surprisingly hopeful note, fans are now looking for clues about where Taylor Sheridan takes Tommy Norris and the rest of the ensemble next.
The broad expectation is that the series will keep following Tommy as he tries to hold together the complicated world around M Tex and the family business setup that emerged at the end of Season 2. That means more pressure from the cartel angle, more danger around Cooper’s choices, and more fallout from the high stakes deals Tommy has already made. The show also appears likely to keep leaning into the family dynamics that help balance its oil industry drama.

What makes Landman interesting is how it tends to fold real world stress into its fictional setting. With energy politics and global oil concerns always hovering in the background, Season 3 could easily sharpen the show’s sense of urgency without needing to become a direct headlines drama. Expect bigger stakes, more tension, and plenty more trouble for Tommy Norris.
