Tickets for Dune: Part Three's December 18 release has already been put out in advance in August. IMAX, 70MM, Dolby, Premium Large Format, D-Box (motion-enabled seats), and IMAX 70MM cinemas are all offering screenings. Now, there are early access "Dune Insider" screenings on December 14 and 15, and Denis Villeneuve and Timothée Chalamet has just announced the date for the tickets to go on sale.

The announcement is made shortly after The Odyssey became the highest-earning movie in the IMAX format (currently closing in on $500 million) and started a craze. Similar to The Odyssey, Dune: Part Three will be accessible in the extremely rare 70MM IMAX format, which is now only available in 34 US theaters. Those who watched The Odyssey in that format probably had a first glimpse at Part Three, which included a breathtaking battle scenario that gave D-Day imagery a sci-fi twist.

According to director Denis Villeneuve, Dune: Part Three will be his final Dune film. The second book in Frank Herbert's popular science fiction series, Dune Messiah, will be adapted for the big screen. It is set in a terrible struggle years later.
