Oscars never come without any drama. Practically, every Oscars ceremony is marred by some mishaps or incidents. But the main concern is always the ceremony, and its smooth running. Nothing unwanted should happen during the presentation. This time, thankfully, the drama took place after the ceremony ended.

The night that saw many great names, all celebrating another great year for cinema, suddenly became tense when One Battle After Another star Teyana Taylor was allegedly shoved by a security personnel at the 2026 Oscars. 

Responding to the incident now, a statement has been issued by the authorities to contain the situation.

 Clearing their stance on the incident, Security Industry Specialists, Inc. has come forward and given a statement to PEOPLE. In the statement, they have acknowledged what happened between Teyana Taylor and the security member last night. They said that the security staff was managing a busy area and making sure everyone was safe. They further apologize for the escalation of the incidental contact that occurred during that interaction.

“We regret that the situation escalated. This is not the standard of professionalism we expect from our team, and we have addressed the matter internally to help ensure situations like this do not happen again.” This statement comes as an attempt to make amendments for the unfortunate incident that happened the night of the 2026 Oscars.

The incident took place when the entire cast of One Battle After Another was about to take a photograph after winning the Oscars for best picture. Taylor was just helping Pamela Abdy and Mike DeLuca, Warner Bros. film bosses, to go upstairs for the photo when a security member tried to physically stop her.

Teyana Taylor was visibly angry at the incident, and her statements from the event after this incident have gone viral.     

Teyana Taylor did not hide her frustration and confronted the security guard directly. At the Oscars, she described him as rude and accused him of trying to put his hands on her simply because she is a woman, making her stance clear. She then shared a statement with TMZ shortly after the incident.

"I just don’t tolerate disrespect, especially when it’s unwarranted and it’s unprovoked,” Taylor told TMZ.

Earlier in the evening, Amy Madigan won Best Supporting Actress for her role in Weapons, narrowly defeating the actress. When the winner was revealed, Taylor was the first to jump out of her seat and cheer her on. For her performance in the Paul Thomas Anderson film, Taylor previously took home the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress. Despite the honors and festivities, the awards season seems to have concluded on a sour note for the actress.
