With major projects like The Drama in the lineup, it was expected for Zendaya to pull off yet another impressive method dressing run this year. She had already set the bar high with her outfits, such as a robot-inspired look for Dune: Part Two and Loewe tennis ball stilettos for Challengers. However, the actress and her famed stylist, Law Roach, once again effortlessly met expectations for the press tour of The Drama.

As the tour for the film finally comes to an end, the actress completes her new method-dressing streak with a bold blue look.

Zendaya’s new film, The Drama, follows a happily engaged couple whose life takes a turn after Zendaya’s character reveals a bizarre secret. In a clever nod to the plot, the actress and her stylist, Law Roach, decided to pick outfits based on the famous tradition of “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue,” a Victorian-era belief said to ward off bad luck for newlyweds. For her final look at the New York premiere, she wore a striking blue Schiaparelli outfit paired with jewelry from Tiffany & Co.

Previously, for “something old,” she revisited her first Academy Awards look (2015) and wore the same Vivienne Westwood dress at the Los Angeles premiere. Later, for “something new,” she chose a custom Louis Vuitton gown for the Paris premiere. Then, for “something borrowed,” she wore a gown from Cate Blanchett’s closet to the Rome premiere.

If Zendaya’s press tour for The Drama is any indication, there are plenty more fashion moments to come this year. With upcoming projects like Euphoria, The Odyssey, Dune: Part Three, and Spider-Man: Brand New Day, she is heading into an exciting year ahead. Hopefully, kicking the year with a unique tradition can help keep bad luck away.

Zendaya has clearly had a remarkable year with several major projects to her name. After working with Oscar-winning director Christopher Nolan on The Odyssey, she has now expressed a desire to collaborate with Ryan Coogler. During a conversation on The Jennifer Hudson Show, she named the director as someone she hopes to work with in the future.
