Actress Zendaya, whose busy schedule is finally coming to an end, has actually already revealed her plans for what is next, which are something along the lines of taking a step back from the spotlight and enjoying a well-deserved break. She has been all over the place in 2026, balancing one big project after another, which are some of Hollywood’s most anticipated releases. With several major releases now behind her and more still on the horizon, the actress is already thinking about life beyond the press tour.

After one of the busiest years of her career, the actress has only earlier this year, revealed that she is finally ready to hit pause. 

Back in April 2026, Zendaya confirmed to Fandango’s Big Ticket that she plans to take a break from acting and promotional duties after finishing up her busy schedule for 2026. After a year of non-stop filming and press tours, the actress said that she is ready to go away for a little while once her remaining projects are out. With five projects one after the other, Zendaya said she is looking forward to finally taking a breather.  

“I hope people don’t get sick of me. After this, I’m disappearing for a little bit. I’m going into hiding for just a little bit,” she confessed before adding that she was excited to enjoy some downtime after months of nonstop work. 

Despite the screen fatigue, Zendaya took the time to thank the audience during the Fandango interview. The actress gave a shouout to everyone who has been there supporting her movies and career because she never underestimates her support system. She talked about how busy the last year has been and confessed to feeling overwhelmed by all the traveling around to promote her films. Even though she said she would not trade this experience for anything and feels very grateful for it, Zendaya thinks it is time to take a break before coming back to work.

In 2026, Zendaya significantly added to her whopping net worth as she both returned to familiar HBO grounds with Euphoria and ventured across to dark comedy tropes with Kristoffer Borgli. Following an elaborate wedding-themed rollout, she dove into The Drama with Robert Pattinson, and promptly moved to Spider-Man: Brand New Day with Tom Holland, anticipation of which is currently at fever pitch. 

But before it all mellows down, her busy schedule is not coming to an end soon, as she will be appearing in one of the highly expected films of the year. First being none other than The Odyssey, produced by Christopher Nolan. She will also play the role of Chani in Dune: Part Three, produced by Denis Villeneuve. With a year full of back-to-back projects and international press tours, Zendaya's decision to take a break shows just how busy she has been throughout the year.
