The new DC, led by James Gunn and Peter Safran, is not only developing a new universe but also a new star cast to star in those films. The most well-known of these films was Superman, which starred Henry Cavill and was introduced by Snyder in 2013. Now that the dynamics in the new DCU have completely changed, the filmmaker revealed that if James Gunn brought him back into the DC universe, he would only be interested in making The Dark Knight Returns adaptation.
