It will not be wrong to assume that the pressure of being from a famous film family might have started to feel from the moment Hero Fiennes Tiffin started pursuing an acting career. Being the son of director Martha Fiennes and cinematographer George Tiffin, and the nephew of Martha Fiennes' two famous brothers Ralph Fiennes and Joseph Fiennes, he was bound to feel this way.

In an interview with PEOPLE, Fiennes Tiffin said that out of his mother’s six siblings, he does not recall treating Ralph Fiennes and Joseph Fiennes any differently. "To me, they were always Uncle Joe and Uncle Ralph. They weren't, like, Uncle Joe and Uncle Ralph, the famous actors," said the 28-year-old actor.

Given both his uncles' successful careers as Hollywood actors, he was obviously aware that there were huge shoes to fill, yet his entry into the field came as naturally as possible. He did not consciously make the choice to pursue acting. Rather, his mother pushed him for an audition for the role of young Tom Riddle in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. He was just happy at the time about the prospect of skipping school.

He further stated that he was not very keen on being an actor, and that it was something that his parents kind of chose for him. But as he grew older and realized that he had been given an opportunity many would kill for, he started to take a liking to it and enjoy his work.

Hero Fiennes Tiffin on his experience working with his uncle

Hero Fiennes Tiffin collaborated with his uncle Joseph Fiennes, who portrayed his on-screen father, Silas Holmes, for his most recent appearance in Guy Ritchie's Young Sherlock series. Fans will be able to witness the real-world familial chemistry come to life when they both share scenes in the show.

However, he says that having him around on the set made him a bit nervous in the beginning. He thought that he needed to prove to him that he is a good actor and a great fit for the role. Later on, he added that his uncle was supportive throughout the process and that he loved doing scenes with him.
