Queen Elizabeth wanted Meghan Markle to have a happy life in the royal family reveals former butler in a new interview.

“You can continue acting” – Queen Elizabeth Promised Meghan Markle a Content Life in Royal Family, Claims Former Butler

It is no secret Meghan Markle [https://netflixjunkie.com/tag/meghan-markle] was
not the favorite partner the British Royal Family wanted for Prince Harry
[https://www.netflixjunkie.com/tag/prince-harry/]. But the former actress
instantly bonded with Queen Elizabeth II after their first meeting. The monarch
was fully supportive of her grandson’s choice despite all the public’s negative
perception. The two were quite fond of one another and always cherished their
time together at public and private events until the Megxit and later the
monarch’s demise in 2022.

In fact, the Queen promised the Duchess of Sussex a happy life in the royal
family, claimed a former butler recently.

QUEEN ELIZABETH WANTED MEGHAN MARKLE TO DO WHAT SHE LOVE

Princess Diana’s former butler, Paul Burrell, recently sat down with Mirror US
[https://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/us-celebrity-news/late-queens-unprecedented-offer-meghan-31133441]
for an interview. During the conversation, he revealed Queen Elizabeth decided
to make an unprecedented offer to Meghan Markle. She wanted to ensure the
42-year-old lived contently with other royal members. According to him, the
monarch always showed kindness and generosity towards the California native and
said “You can continue acting if you like, continue your career” the former
actress, revealed Burrell.

But Markle declined the offer of grandmother-in-law and even addressed it during
her engagement interview. “I don’t see it as giving anything up, I just see it
as a change,” stated the now mother of two. However, the former butler saw it as
a missed opportunity, saying the couple had thrown away an immense amount of
goodwill. He felt the late queen made this promise because she wanted both of
them to stay in the family.

So when they stepped down from their royal positions

it was a hard moment for Queen Elizabeth as she tried her best to keep them
around. Well, things might have not turned out the way the royal family wanted,
but it is for sure Markle has always respected the late monarch.

Last year, she mused over the time she spent with the Royal Highness before her
marriage to Prince Harry.

THE SUITS ALUM RECALLED HER JOYOUS MOMENTS WITH QUEEN ELIZABETH

In episode 4 of Netflix’s Harry & Meghan, which was released in December 2022,
Meghan Markle looked back on her solo June 2018 engagement with the queen. She
recalled when they were traveling during the engagements the monarch kept a
blanket with her. She covered Markle’s knees with it, which made her feel
grateful that there was a grandmother figure in the family.

The Suits alum cherished that little gesture so deeply because she was very
close to her own grandmother and stayed beside her in her last days. So it was a
great day she had with Queen Elizabeth and they both laughed while spending time
with each other. It was the same trip when the monarch gifted Meghan a pair of
earrings. Notably, the Duchess wore them to her funeral in September 2022.
