Showrunner Andrew Guest addressed fans on TikTok to express gratitude and clarify the cancellation of the Marvel Television drama, the Wonder Man series. The creative team, including Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Destin Daniel Cretton, and Sir Ben Kingsley, remained fully committed to the project. He confirmed that the shutdown was not a promotional trick, nor was it caused by conflicting cast schedules.

“All felt passionately about continuing to do it, and were eager to. Contracts were signed, schedules were cleared,” he said. He also clarified it is not a PR stunt.

"This is not a marketing stunt,” Guest said regarding their collective readiness to continue. He also added about the planning of pre-production. If they had not cancelled the drama, the creative team had already established a concrete timeline to bring the series into full production of the Wonder Man series.
