Matthew Perry was found face down in a hot tub at his Los Angeles home on October 28, 2023, and his death was later determined to be caused by the acute effects of K*******. Subsequently, five people were charged in connection with his death, including Jasveen Sangha, known as the "K******* Queen," Dr. Salvador Plasencia, Dr. Mark Chavez, Kenneth Iwamasa, and Erik Fleming
. After years of legal proceedings, Sangha, who had admitted to running a "stash house" for illegal narcotics out of her North Hollywood home and pleaded guilty to five felony d*** counts tied to Perry’s death, has finally been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for supplying the lethal dose.
Perry’s death came just a year after the release of his memoir, Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing, in which he openly chronicled his battles with addiction to prescription painkillers and alcohol, revealing moments when he had come close to losing his life. In the months leading up to his passing, he had claimed to have regained sobriety. Despite his personal battles with addiction, Perry never let his stardom dim, delivering an iconic performance that set him up for an ever-living legacy.
