In April 2022, the Free Guy star opened up about how he always wanted to work closely with the Logan star. He told Variety that they have been thinking about it for decades. “I was just pestering him like a gnat over the last many years. I believe in timing, as much as hard work and luck and all those intersections that are supposed to meet,” explained the 46-year-old.

He continued that timing always has a part to play and coincidently when he approached the Emmy winner, he was ready. Moreover, Reynolds also revealed that they are going to give his iconic character a new arc. This is what attracted the 54-year-old since he wanted to do something different this time. Well, fans have a long way to find out what the duo is actually trying to do with their character this time.
