Spider-Noir has captivated audiences with its stunning black-and-white cinematography, plunging viewers into 1930s Depression-era New York, where shadows rule, and hope is fading. Critics praise the series for blending film noir aesthetics with comic-book storytelling, creating a moody, atmospheric experience unlike any other superhero property.
From the smoke-filled jazz bars to the trench-coated vigilante swinging through rain-slicked streets, everyone is loving Cage's darkest and most nuanced superhero performance yet.
But will he appear in the MCU?

Will Spider-Noir appear in Spider-Man: Brand New Day?
There is currently no confirmation that Nicolas Cage’s Spider-Noir will appear in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The two projects exist in separate universes, with Spider-Noir operating as a Prime Video series set in a stylized 1930s New York, while Spider-Man: Brand New Day continues Tom Holland’s story within the MCU. The film is slated for a July 31, 2026, release and is expected to follow Peter Parker’s grounded struggles after Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Spider-Noir concludes its first season with Ben Reilly returning to his vigilante life after a personal tragedy, facing threats like Silvermane and a noir-inspired Sinister Six. The narrative remains self-contained, with no explicit multiversal threads connecting it to the MCU. Its black-and-white world feels intentionally isolated, reinforcing its identity as a standalone story rather than a puzzle piece in a larger cinematic web.
An Avengers-level crossover remains unlikely for now, though not entirely off the table. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is positioned as a bridge toward Avengers: Doomsday, which is expected to escalate into multiversal territory. Given Marvel’s ongoing interest in alternate realities, a future cameo or post-credits tease involving Spider-Noir is theoretically possible. However, the rights divide between Prime Video and Marvel Studios makes any direct crossover a complicated proposition at this stage.
Even if the multiverse door stays closed for now, the question of Spider-Noir’s future is far from settled.
Will there be a Spider-Noir season 2?
Prime Video has yet to officially confirm a second season of Spider-Noir, but the response to its debut has been strong enough to keep hopes alive. The eight-episode run has drawn praise for its visual style and Cage’s performance, positioning it as one of the more distinctive comic adaptations in recent years. With its staggered release strategy across MGM+ and Prime Video, viewership metrics will likely play a decisive role in renewal discussions.

Executive producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller have indicated openness to continuing the story. In a May 2026 interview, they suggested that they would not rule out another season, reflecting confidence in the show’s creative direction. Co-showrunner Oren Uziel emphasized the flexibility of the detective format, noting that new cases could easily drive future narratives without disrupting the established tone.
If renewed, the core cast is expected to return, including Nicolas Cage alongside Lamorne Morris and Karen Rodriguez. Uziel has also hinted at expanding the story’s scope, potentially exploring broader geopolitical tensions as the timeline edges closer to World War II. For now, the series stands as a complete chapter, with fans eager to see whether its shadowy world will extend beyond its current run.
