There have been rumors that Blake Lively has not been invited to the Met Gala this year, but this cannot be confirmed since the event is secretive about its guest list. Whether she will appear or not will only be revealed on the day of the event. Previously, she had attended every Met Gala since her debut in 2008.

And the last time she appeared on the Met steps was in 2022, honoring the theme In America: An Anthology of Fashion. She also co-chaired the event alongside her husband, Ryan Reynolds, as well as Lin-Manuel Miranda and Regina King. However, in 2023, she announced before the event that she would not be attending.

The actress also missed the event in 2024 and again in 2025. Neither she nor her husband has commented on her sudden absence from the event. That remains the case this year, and not to mention, the actress is also in the middle of a legal battle against Justin Baldoni.
