A few early glimpses have already hinted at the massive scale of Avengers: Doomsday, but Marvel is still keeping crucial details about the film under wraps. If the rumors are to be believed, the movie is set to go bigger than ever. Fan-favorite teams like the Fantastic Four, the Thunderbolts, the Wakandans, and several other heroes are already expected to join forces in the blockbuster. But that is not all.
Rumors also suggest that some unexpected faces and groups, such as the Illuminati, could make an appearance. With the film still months away from release, there is plenty to dissect about this fascinating speculation.

As Alex Perez shared on The Cosmic Circus, the Illuminati could appear in Avengers: Doomsday. Interestingly, the insider shared that the group will not be calling themselves the Illuminati. While the name will not be mentioned, several members of the group are expected to make an appearance.
"Also, technically, we get a form of Illuminati 2.0, though they don’t call themselves that," he said.

Professor X, Black Panther, and Reed Richards are expected to appear. So this will be an exciting Illuminati reference, as per Perez. Moreover, Namor is officially announced to have joined the cast. As many comic readers are already aware, he is the ruler of Atlantis as well as a member of the Illuminati.
Both Sam Wilson's Captain America and Wong are expected to be part of the team. That makes a strong case for the return of the Illuminati in the film. And this only hints at more chaos in the film and raises the stakes more than ever.
Now the hype is evident in the massive viewership of the movie trailer that was recently released.
