Scott Eastwood is suiting up for his most intense wartime role yet, and Lucky Strike is arriving with a cast that is as loaded as a soldier's kit bag. The film follows a wounded American soldier trapped behind German lines during the Battle of the Bulge, surviving on sheer grit and a cutting-edge radio. With a lineup that blends Hollywood legacy, Emmy-winning talent, and a real-life war hero, this one is shaping up to be the summer's most intense wartime watch.

While the Battle of the Bulge sets the stage, it is the soldier stepping into its chaos that this roster begins with.

Scott Eastwood steps into the boots of Captain John Castle, the wounded American soldier at the heart of this survival story, and frankly, the role was practically written for his jawline and his resume. The son of Clint Eastwood has been building toward leading-man war roles for years, having already appeared in Fury (2014), Suicide Squad (2016), and Pacific Rim Uprising (2018). His previous collaboration with director Rod Lurie on The Outpost (2020), where he also served as a producer, makes this reunion feel less like casting and more like a veteran returning to the trenches.

As Castle fights to survive behind enemy lines, the next name on this roster proves that good casting runs in some families more than others.

Colin Hanks

Colin Hanks takes on a key supporting role in the ensemble, and with a career that has quietly spanned comedy, drama, and historical storytelling, he is more than just a famous last name. The son of Tom Hanks made his debut in That Thing You Do! (1996) before carving out a distinct identity with Orange County (2002), Parkland (2013), and the critically praised Elvis & Nixon (2016). He has also tackled serious historical territory on television, with The Offer and Band of Brothers both sitting comfortably on his impressive résumé.

As Hanks brings the dramatic firepower, the next cast member arriving on set brings an Oscar nomination and a legacy of extraordinary performances.

Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor

Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor joins the lead ensemble of Lucky Strike, lending the kind of dramatic authority that makes every scene feel heavier and more human. Her career spans decades of standout work, including The Help (2011), If Beale Street Could Talk (2018), The Color Purple (2023), and Origin (2023), each role more layered than the last. She received a Best Supporting Actress Oscar nomination for portraying Oracene Price in King Richard (2021), cementing her place as one of the most compelling actors working today.

While Ellis-Taylor brings the emotional gravity, the next name on this list is no stranger to surviving impossible situations on screen.

Taylor John Smith

Taylor John Smith takes on a prominent role alongside the leads, continuing what is quietly becoming a very dedicated working relationship with both director Rod Lurie and co-star Scott Eastwood. He broke out with HBO's Sharp Objects (2018) before reuniting with this very same team on The Outpost (2020), and followed that with Shadow in the Cloud (2020) and Where the Crawdads Sing (2022). Young, intense, and clearly drawn to survival stories, Smith is building a filmography that reads like a one-man argument for casting him in every war thriller going forward.

As Smith navigates enemy territory on screen, the next cast member brings an air of authority that is very much by rank.

Lorne MacFadyen

Lorne MacFadyen plays Major Barrett in Lucky Strike, and if his television work is anything to go by, authority suits him extremely well. The Scottish actor, hailing from the Isle of Skye, earned recognition through the Emmy-winning BBC series Vigil (2021), followed by Malpractice (2023) and Pistol, building a reputation for playing characters who carry weight in every room they enter. His film credits include Operation Mincemeat (2021) and Outlaw King, making him a natural fit for the military precision this World War II thriller demands.

While MacFadyen commands the rank, the next soldier in this lineup earned his stripes the old-fashioned way, through actual stunts.

Patrick Millin

Patrick Millin plays a U.S. soldier in Lucky Strike, and given his background, he probably did not need much coaching on how to move like one. A former professional surfer who transitioned into Hollywood stunt work, he has doubled for James Franco, Jason Statham, and even Scott Eastwood himself across various productions. His acting and stunt credits include The Forever Purge, Atlas, Alarum, and the TV series S.W.A.T., making him one of the rare performers who is equally comfortable in front of and behind the action.

As Millin brings the physical authenticity, the next cast member arrives with an entirely different kind of intensity, one forged on an actual battlefield.

Daniel Ray Rodriguez

Daniel Ray Rodriguez plays CPL Ramirez, a U.S. soldier supporting the lead through the harrowing ordeal behind enemy lines, and he brings something to this role that no acting class can teach. A real-life U.S. Army veteran who fought in the Battle of Kamdesh in Afghanistan, Rodriguez portrayed himself in The Outpost (2019), the very film that first brought him into this creative circle alongside Rod Lurie and Scott Eastwood. Beyond Lucky Strike, he has appeared in Poker Face (2023) and The Creator, and works as a motivational speaker, because surviving the actual thing tends to give a person something worth saying.

While Rodriguez brings real-world combat experience, the final name on this ensemble list brings a European flair and a set of skills that go well beyond the call of a supporting role —

Timothy Blore

Timothy Blore plays Wilhelm in Lucky Strike, and given that it is a World War II film set behind German lines, it is safe to say he is not on the Allied side of the dinner table. The English-Austrian actor, trained at Drama Studio London, has a background that spans theater, television, historical dramas, and even professional cello performance, because apparently being multilingual and combat-trained was not already enough. His notable credits include Colosseum (2022) as Priscus and Rivals (2024) as Bobby Riches, with additional skills in sword fighting that make him a very convincing presence in any period production.

Rounding out the ensemble are Isabella Rose, Alexandra Vale, Jake Lowe, Caroline Piette, and Atanas Srebrev, whose roles are yet to be detailed but whose inclusion suggests the film's world extends well beyond the main squad. With Lucky Strike hitting theaters on June 26, 2026, the wait is real, but fortunately, Netflix has an entire vault of World War II films ready to fill the gap, from Unbroken to Journey’s End, so the battlefield does not have to go quiet just yet. And if this cast list is any indication, Lucky Strike is arriving with enough star power to make the wait feel worth every second.
