Who Plays Love Sausage in ‘The Boys’ Season 5? The Weird Power Explained
Few shows on television treat the word “bizarre” as a starting point rather than a limit. From exploding heads and telepathic octopus romances to the unforgettable chaos of Herogasm, The Boys has spent four seasons gleefully pushing the boundaries of what superhero storytelling can look like. Each new season somehow manages to get stranger than the last, often in ways that feel equal parts shocking and darkly hilarious., not falling far from its source material.
Among the gallery of grotesque Supes, Love Sausage easily ranks as one of the show’s most infamous oddities. The character embodies the show’s willingness to turn even the most absurd comic-book concept into live-action chaos.
But while longtime fans know the character originates from the graphic novels, many viewers still ask a simple question: who actually plays this unforgettable Supe on screen?

The actor behind the infamous Supe Love Sausage
Love Sausage in the series is portrayed by actor Derek Johns. The character first appeared in The Boys Season 2, Episode 6, titled The Bloody Doors Off, which premiered on September 25, 2020. In that episode, the character emerges from the infamous Sage Grove Center, a facility secretly experimenting on Supes, during one of the show’s most chaotic sequences.
In the source comics created by Garth Ennis and illustrated by Darick Robertson, Love Sausage’s real name is Vasilii “Vas” Vorishikin. The character is depicted as a Russian ex-cop, former tank commander, and one-time superhero who eventually becomes a bar owner in Moscow. Even in the show, his reputation and nickname come from his absurd superpower: a foot-long, super-strong, and remarkably durable p**** that functions almost like a weaponized tentacle.
Yet in a world where even the strangest Supes rarely get a quiet ending, fans were left wondering whether Love Sausage’s bizarre legacy would extend into the series’ final chapter.
What happens to Love Sausage in The Boys Season 5?
The fifth and final season of The Boys premiered on April 8, 2026, launching what many expect to be the show’s most brutal chapter yet. Critics and cast members alike have warned that “no one is safe” as the story barrels toward its conclusion. In the premiere episode, titled Fifteen Inches of Sheer Dynamite, Love Sausage returns to the narrative as tensions escalate under Homelander’s increasingly authoritarian rule. The episode’s title itself is a tongue-in-cheek reference to the character’s infamous anatomy, drawn directly from the original comic storyline.

During the opening arc, Love Sausage confronts members of the resistance as the team attempts to escape the regime, tightening its grip across the United States. The clash eventually brings him face-to-face with Laz Alonso’s character, Mother’s Milk. In the violent encounter that follows, Mother’s Milk ultimately kills Love Sausage, marking one of the season’s early casualties and reinforcing the show’s long-standing rule: shocking deaths are always on the table.
With Derek Johns bringing the role to life, the show turned an outrageous comic concept into a memorable, if extremely strange, live-action moment.
