anxiety” due to constant script changes and tweaking of scenes.

This led Grey to part ways with the role despite receiving a call back from the
makers.

Jennifer Grey’s character saw a change with American actress Jana Marie Hupp
taking over the role. Hupp is widely recognized for her portrayal of Nancy
Burton on the NBC television series Ed, where she played the friend of the

This could have been overly distracting within the Friends storyline, prompting
the series to take a different narrative direction. It is also likely that
Grey’s absence in season 2, probably due to scheduling issues, prompted the
Friends creative team to recast the role, given its relatively minor importance.
Grey could have taken on a more significant role to counter all the surgery
