There are still months to go before Avengers: Doomsday releases in December this year, and fans are more restless than ever. While Marvel Studios and the cast have remained tight-lipped about the movie’s secrets and plot, the rumor mill has refused to stop buzzing. Every tiny hint, image, and detail is being analyzed for clues about what the movie could have in store. One such rumor involves a surprise appearance.

While several names have already been officially confirmed as part of the cast, another name, the Leader, has been making the rounds as a potential surprise appearance. But who is the Leader in Marvel, and how was he created by gamma radiation?

Who is Hulk’s enemy, Leader?

As of now, there is no official update confirming whether the Leader could appear in the movie. However, since Marvel Studios is best at keeping its secrets, there is always a chance that the Leader could make a surprise appearance. After all, the Leader is Hulk's most formidable enemy.

Both the characters, Hulk and Leader, were created as a result of exposure to gamma radiation. Before becoming Hulk's enemy, Leader was a chemical research worker, Samuel Sterns, who was exposed to gamma radiation, which enhanced his intelligence and transformed him into a superhuman. He also developed green skin and an enlarged skull.

Using his extraordinary intellect, Sterns created an international spy network to steal scientific secrets. He eventually became the megalomaniacal villain known as the Leader and one of the Hulk’s dangerous foes. Sterns also tried to steal Bruce Banner’s inventions. Now, apart from his intellect, he also has powerful abilities, including telekinesis and mind control.

He has also created humanoids to carry out his plans. The character created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko first appeared in Tales to Astonish #62 in 1965. The Leader has died and been resurrected in the comics, but whether he will appear in Avengers: Doomsday remains to be seen.
