Liam Neeson’s upcoming action thriller The Mongoose has drawn attention for its high-speed chase premise and imposing ensemble, but another name is quietly attracting curiosity. British actress Stella Stocker plays Helene in the film, marking another collaboration with Neeson after their appearances together in Memory and Marlowe. With The Mongoose arriving in theatersaoon.

Viewers may be wondering who Stocker is and where they might have seen her before.

Stella Stocker is a London-based professional actress and voiceover artist who grew up in Germany, France and the Congo. She is bilingual in English and German and also speaks conversational French. Stocker trained at the University of Hull, where she earned a BA in Drama, and continued her acting education at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in New York. Her skills include ballet, jazz, modern and tap dancing, horse riding, krav maga, judo, stage fighting, climbing and skiing. 

Her screen credits stretch across major productions. She appeared as Martha Wayne in Matt Reeves’ The Batman, working alongside the film’s ensemble in a brief but memorable role connected to Bruce Wayne’s family history. She also appeared in Memory as Maya, Marlowe as Hilda and The Good Liar as Frau Schröder. Other credits include Fury, Mission: Impossible 5, Arthur & Merlin: Knights of Camelot and Blithe Spirit. 

On television, Stocker has appeared in Archie and The Chelsea Detective, while her stage work includes productions in London, Berlin and Hull. She has also worked extensively in commercials and voiceover. Her growing filmography makes The Mongoose another significant addition to an already varied career.

Her next project, however, places Stocker inside a very different kind of Liam Neeson thriller.

The Mongoose stars Liam Neeson as Ryan “Fang” Flanagan, a highly decorated war hero who is falsely accused of a crime. With police pursuing him, Fang launches into an extraordinary cross-country car chase that becomes a televised spectacle, while members of his former Special Forces battalion help him evade capture. A fascinated public begins following the escape and rooting for his survival. 

Mark Vanselow directs the film from a screenplay by Thompson Evans. The cast includes Marisa Tomei as Tara, Ving Rhames as Tanker and Michael Chiklis as Major Walter Pope, with Stocker credited as Helene. The production filmed across Melbourne and regional Victoria, with the locations doubling for parts of the United States. 

The movie is an original action thriller rather than an adaptation of a previously published story. It reunites Neeson with Code Entertainment, the company behind his earlier Australian productions Blacklight and Ice Road 2: Road to the Sky. The United States theatrical release is scheduled for October 30, 2026.
